More than just radio -

TLCFM is about being part

of something that matters

to our community.

Care about community?
Enjoy helping out?
Help us build a space where

everyone feels welcome - join in!

WHY MEMBERSHIP?

TLCFM is a membership-based not-for-profit community radio station - we rely on community participation to operate. Listeners becoming financial supporters through Membership help TLCFM to stay on air.

All presenters, the board and volunteers are TLCFM Members.

Members pay a small annual fee to join, with discounts for seniors, students and concession card holders.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
As a TLCFM Member you will show your continued support of the station, are entitled to attend the station's Annual General Meeting and have the opportunity to participate in the operations of the station.

You will also receive a Members Newsletter, which gives behind the scenes information on TLCFM, radio presenting tips, and helps build an intimate connection to the station that you are part of.

Additionally, if you would like to present a radio show, you will be offered radio presenter training and guidance - no prior radio experience is needed, just enthusiasm for community radio. Upon completion of training you will have the opportunity to become a presenter on the station.

As a TLCFM Member you are contributing to great local community radio and an alternative source of music, information and news from The Lower Clarence.

We have over 35 Members from the community presenting a radio show.

You don't have to be on air!
Members may also help out around

the station in off air roles, or simply be

a loyal listener. You don't have to live in The Lower Clarence to be a TLC Member. All Members are able to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

TLCFM volunteer

TLCFM exists because of invaluable Members who volunteer their time to make sure it does. On air or behind the scenes, we welcome volunteers who can commit to at least 2 hours a week (average show duration) for a minimum of 3 months. TLCFM has a wide diversity of volunteers - meet like-minded people and join the TLCFM crew!

All people at TLCFM are volunteers, no one is paid, we volunteer because we love community radio. Working in a replica lighthouse in beautiful Yamba is pretty awesome - music, nature, surf... magical!

what could I do as a volunteer?

  • music library coordination

  • fundraising

  • voiceover talent

  • program presenters and co-hosts

  • market stalls

  • lighthousekeeping (little joke there)

  • gardening - we have garden beds with native plants

If you have a passion for community radio, please contact us to chat about ways Members volunteer at TLCFM or download a Membership application.

TLCFM93.5

TLCFM programming is not aimed at a mass commercial audience but rather a little of everything to cater for all audiences in the community.

We support under-represented music by playing diverse music genres and supporting local artists.

TLCFM is the voice of people who live in, work in, go to school in, and have a connection to The Lower Clarence.

100% volunteer run since 1988.

TLCFM gratefully thank our local sponsors for their support.
